Chicken Fried Chicken

I got to go see Amy, Mike, Owen and Emma in South Carolina. I got to understand what Mike does and got to tour Beufort including Pat Conroy's boyhood home. I just finished his book. I could live there. I really enjoyed it! Lots of trees, lots of water, lots of ocean! Most of all, a cute little family. Mike's a good dad and husband and Amy is a good mom, wife and daughter. Plus, my grandkids are adorable! As you can see by this video, Owen is doing great. This is one week after getting his cast on.

As you can see from these photos, they are all pretty darn cute!
There is a "SOMETHIN" about Emma that words can't describe. Adorablenessous isn't a word but it comes close. Somehow she exudes a sweetness that you feel. She is easy on the eyes and heart.

Thanks for making my time there enjoyable

All 10

Look at all 10 of my grandkids dressed in their easter clothes that Karen bought for each of them. It was fun trying to get this picture because the majority of the pictures either 1 or more were crying, trying to get up, or making funny faces. Boy do I love these kids though. So happy they all came to visit this summer.

*Disclaimer alert: This is Amy acting as my dad. I was sick of my feeder saying it's been like a year since their last post. I can't help the fact that my parents are incompetent :). Plus I knew they wanted the world to see how cute their grandkids are.

Hawaii 2008

Amy just dialed me in to the mysterious world of blogging! So I'm beginning with our 2008 trip to paradise. Karen's father Gordon passed away suddenly June 5th . It was tough on all of us, as we all adored Grandpa. We were fortunate to already have had this trip planned, we needed to be by ourselves . So for 10 days we enjoyed each others company as we continued to think and reflect on Grandpa's influence on our lives and our children's. We ate at great restaurants (liahaina grill (formally David Pauls),Roy's, Mama's fish house, Tomato Basil, Cheesburger-in-Paradise), played tennis, golf, strolled the beaches everyday, but mostly we read books by the pool. The above picture was taken from our room! We had the best rooms you can have at the Shearaton Kannapalli.

The picture below is us on our evening cruise.

This picture is just outside our room.

I took a bunch of pictures of this sunset at the end of our cruise.

Thanks Amy for making me a blogger. I have always dreamed of this happening and now its a reality! I feel complete now.
